My nan always watches QVC and so I have been too, the brand Tarte kept popping up and I was really keen to try the Amazonian Clay foundation. After that I kept seeing Tarte pop up everywhere and so with some left over birthday money I decided to indulge myself!

First things first I actually love the packaging, it fits the brand image incredibly well. I found it actually quite refreshing to use something that's not plastic and heavy. The foundation claims to be full coverage however I felt it was more of a medium coverage with the ability to build it up to a full coverage should you want to. I'll admit the first time I used this foundation I didn't get on well with it, it didn't look like I was wearing foundation and so I felt the expensive price tag was a pointless, wasted one. However I'm not one to give up without a fight so I tried this foundation for a second time and again it didn't sit right, this time it was blotchy and where I have dry skin it didn't blend in at all, it just overly enhanced my dry skin.

With the above being said I was ready to give up on the Tarte foundation but then I thought maybe it was something I was doing wrong so I decided to watch some Youtube videos on this to see if other people had the same trouble I did. Turns out the best way to apply this with the supplied brush is to buff/dab instead of blending. I did this and it definitely worked much better and I decided to use more foundation than before and I was fully covered. 

This foundation is so lightweight and with the full coverage it offers, assuming you apply it right, it really does feel as though you're wearing no foundation at all but with the flawless look. The brush this comes with is absolutely amazing, the bristles are super soft making it feel amazing on your skin and with the right technique you can achieve the look you desire.

Overall I am mediocre on this foundation, I probably, ok definitely wont buy it again but it's not the worst foundation I've used. I was actually really disappointed about this foundation but overly joyed with the brush.

As you all know, and I keep saying, it was recently my 21st birthday and so I thought I'd take this as a opportunity  to take a few cheeky shopping trips and let you all know about it. The closest place to me for decent make-up shopping is West Quay in Southampton so that's where I dragged my boyfriend for the day.

As you all know, it was my birthday recently and I was lucky enough to receive a 3 month Glossy Box subscription from my other half. I wanted this for ages so it was a lovely gift to receive, I keep seeing reviews on this box, and I know there are several other boxes on the market but this one enticed me the most. I can't tell you why I chose Glossy Box over others but I did, knowing me it's probably because it was pink!

First things first, this box arrived in a timely manner! Hooray, something that actually arrived early, I am so impatient and hate waiting so I was more than relieved to find this one on my doorstep sooner than expected. 

Packaging: Absolutely flawless! This box has a matte finish, all the products come neatly wrapped in pink tissue paper and tied with a black ribbon. I feel this box has a classy but feminine touch and I will definitely be keeping this for storage.

Contents: This box comes with 5 products and on a monthly basis. I received Swiss Smile whitening toothpaste, Leighton Denny Miracle Mist, The Body Shop Oils of Life - Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil, Next Make Me Beautiful lip chubby in red and lastly Studio 10 Brow Lift Perfecting Liner. 

I have started using the whitening toothpaste and so far things are ok however I'm not expecting results over night. I may write a full review on this toothpaste in 6 weeks time and let you all know how I got on and if I saw results. I have used whitening toothpastes in the past and always found they have a sort of bitty-off taste however this one tastes refreshing like normal toothpaste with the exception of being a little more watery.

I think I may have pre-empted this post slightly and writing a review on products you have only used once or twice is proving more difficult than expected.

I have of course tried the Next Lip Chubby and found it was very soft and easy to apply, almost too easy though -  all I can say is imagine trying to apply water to your lips - Ok that's an exaggeration but I'm sure you get my drift. That being said the colour is very vibrant and relatively long lasting. This originally costs £8 so that's almost the cost you paid for the box back in one product.

The last product I have used in the box is the Body Shop Oil, I decided to mix this in with my moisturiser and it was lovely to use. The oil smells great and was so easy to mix, I have only used this a couple of times but I already feel like my skin is soft and less dry - this could be down to the fact that I have been trying to drink multiple litres of water a day in the hope that it'll improve my skin so who knows.

Overall I am pleased with this box, especially considering it only costs £10 a month + P&P and if you're a student you can receive 30% off which makes it an absolute bargain. What's even better is the fact that 4/5 products are full size and as I said before in just one of the products your cost is already made back!
