April Make-up Haul

As you all know, and I keep saying, it was recently my 21st birthday and so I thought I'd take this as a opportunity to take a few cheeky shopping trips and let you all know about it. The closest place to me for decent make-up shopping is West Quay in Southampton so that's where I dragged my boyfriend for the day.
I actually managed to pick up all the bits I wanted too in three shops, John Lewis, Boots and Topshop.
I was lucky enough to find that one of the end caps in Boots had hundreds of premium nail varnishes in the sale for as little as £1.50! After rummaging through I picked up the above two by Nails Inc for £2.50 each, usually £12 each. A lot of the ones in the sale were odd colours and glitter varnishes which everyone knows are a pain to remove, I'm guessing that's why they were in the clearance section.
Next I went to Topshop, I was actually looking for their cream highlighter only when I got there I found that it's discontinued and they're not doing it anymore. I was hugely disappointed about this as I had used the tester in another Topshop and wanted it straight away. I decided that because that one was so good the replacement must meet it's standards if not better so I grabbed that one whilst I was there. I also picked up a lipstick in the colour Boardroom which is like a Taupe/Brown colour.
Lastly I went to John Lewis and spent hours in Mac trying to chose the things I wanted. A friend of mine had recommended the Prep + Prime Fix spray so I knew I was definitely going to pick that up. I also wanted a brown lip liner and I couldn't find one myself so one of the Mac girls recommended the colour Cork which looked amazing however I got home to find it's not quite what I wanted but I still like it so it's not an issue, The last thing I picked up was a matte lipstick in Whirl, I saw Kylie Jenner wearing this colour in a magazine and I absolutely fell in love with it.
I also picked up Nail Envy by O.P.I for sensitive, peeling nails, another recommendation from a friend. My nails are in terrible condition and are constantly peeling so I thought I'd give this a go, however it's not been so successful.

That highlighter is beautiful, but a shame you couldn't get the one your originally wanted. That's always so annoying! I love the look of Whirl, too x

I hated how Whirl looked on me. It's such a beautiful shade on others, but for me personally, I like Persistence, which is also nude but a warmer tone.

Ahh I love the look of whirl I've just never got round to buying it! I'm a new blogger too, it's so nice to find others who are also! It feels like everyone else is quite established. Nice to see someone else is in the double digits of followers too! Haha!
