Hi everyone, it has been a little while since posting which I am sorry about. I have been super busy with work and my portfolio at university is due next month so I have been panicking about that. I also realise that it's now nearly the end of May and I'm only just writing this months Glossy Box review - at least this way I can actually tell you how I got on with the products!
Terrible photo, apologies, the packaging this month is absolutely gorgeous though. This months box is based on travel and so the products within the box are supposed to be travel essentials. I like the combination of monochrome with the summery peach colour, definitely had me in the mood for summer and holidays.
Again it comes packed with it's usual ribbon and tissue paper coloured to match the scheme. I always keep the ribbon for other arts and crafts bits.
I think I was very lucky this month, I have 3 full sized products (the other 2 being pretty big anyway) and they're all products I will definitely use. I received 100ml of Hawaiin Tropic oil with SPF 15, which is perfect timing because I'm due to go on holiday next Friday with hand luggage only (can only take 100ml liquids).
3 invisi-bobbles by Hairon which I have been wanting for a little while, not that particular brand as any would have done. I started using these instantly and they're great, they don't leave a kink as promised however these particular ones are weak. 1 has already snapped and 1 is close to breaking, maybe it's just this brand.
I also received a velvet liquid lipstick in a neon peachy colour, I actually really like this. It's a little out of my comfort zone as usually I would never even consider picking up a colour like this but it goes really well. It's such a summery colour. I have worn this several times already, although it doesn't last through eating and drinking it sits quite well and when it does fade it doesn't leave your lips feeling dry or leave a flaky residue like some other liquid lipsticks I've tried.
A full size Revlon Super Length mascara. I like the packaging of this mascara, it's matte and is almost flat packed whilst still holding the sturdy feature. It's definitely an upscale to Revlon's other packaging. The mascara itself isn't the best, I tend to put mascara on at 630am and it's usually pretty faded by the time I get home from work at 5pm - unfortunately this ones no different.
Lastly I received Bee Good Plump & Firm Moisturiser. Although this isn't full sized there seems to be a lot in the tube. I've used this a couple of times and it's no miracle worker, it does the job, it moisturises but no greater than any other one I have. Perhaps I need to use it for a little longer before making judgement.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with this box, I feel it's definitely been value for money and I have been able to try new products I would necessarily use. I have even recycled the packaging and used it to organise my make-up draw.
Let me know if you have tried any of these products or if you had the same trouble with the invisi-bobbles as I have (could be a thick hair issue).
